Den ofrivillige golfaren, also known in English as The Accidental Golfer and The Involuntary Golfer, is a Swedish comedy film and the fourth installment of the popular Sällskapsresan series directed by Lasse Åberg. It was released to cinemas in Sweden on 25 December Åberg won the award for Best Actor in a leading role at the 27th Guldbagge Awards.[1] It is the fourth film in the Sällskapsresan film series and was inspired by the golf stories of author P. G. Wodehouse.[2]
Plot
[edit]The business cycle in Sweden is booming. Hapless Stig-Helmer Olsson (Lasse Åberg) is laid off from a toaster factory and gets an offer to play a one-on-one golf competition against a wealthy man for money, something he has never done before. He travels to Scotland to learn to play golf, taking lessons by the skilled golf veteran Roderic McDougall (Jimmy Logan).

Synopsis
I bet anyone can get better at golf than you are in one week, a golfer says to her golfing businessman for a boyfriend in a quarrel. Unfortunately Stig-Helmer is standing nearby when the boyfriend accepts the bet, and he is chosen to be the competitor. Stig-Helmer has never played the game before, but his Norwegian friend Ole promises to help him.

Handling
Det är högkonjunktur i Sverige och Stig-Helmer börjar jobba som gatsopare efter att brödrostfabriken Toastmaster lagts ner av finansbolaget Parvus Finans av rationaliseringsskäl. Under sin första arbetsdag, då han plockar skräp vid en golfbana, får han ett erbjudande; storfinansmannen Bruno Anderhage och galleristen Mette har slagit vad om att vem som helst kan lära sig spela golf lika bra om inte bättre än Bruno på en vecka, och "vem som helst" blir tafatte Stig-Helmer.
