Welcome package: Part one

The Info Centre is located on the ground floor in Studenthuset on Campus Valla, Växthuset on Campus US and in Kåkenhus on Campus Norrköping. The Info Centre staff will help you with study administrative matters such as:

  • LiU-ID (obtain LiU-ID, reset password, deleted LiU-ID)
  • LiU-card (pick up LiU-card, change PIN, block a lost LiU-card)
  • E-service cards (for students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences)
  • Problems with registration in Lisam
  • Help to find your way on campus
  • Confirmation of Enrolment and Transcripts of Records
  • Sales of course material (only on Campus Norrköping)

You can contact them anytime with questions relating to your studies or LiU.

As an LiU student, you get access to a user-id called LiU-ID and a personal access card called LiU-card. 
Your LiU-ID is the username that you will use to access our digital services. When you have received your notification of the selection result you can access to obtain your LiU-ID by following the instructions.

The LiU-card has the following functions:

  • Access card
  • Campus Library card
  • Copy/print card
  • Bus card on th

    Du som diplomand behöver anmäla dig till ceremonin. Bjud gärna med gäster och anmäl antal samtidigt som du gör din egen anmälan. Så vet vi säkert att det finns sittplatser för alla!

    Diplomeringen är kostnadsfri.

    Har du examen från ett tidigare år är du också välkommen att delta men då måste du kontakta oss. Tänk på att göra din ansökan så snart som möjligt när du har alla dina kursresultat inrapporterade. För information om hur du ansöker om examen läs mer på

    Linköping University uses four different grading systems, depending on the course or programme. Full-time studies usually require 40 hours of study per week. Lectures and seminars are most often held during the day, which is important to remember if you plan, for example, to have a job alongside your studies.

As a student here you are expected to be independent in your work and take responsibility for the quality of your learning.

    ​Academic system

    Higher education in Sweden is divided into first, second and third cycle, which corresponds to the European standard. This includes bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes. In Sweden you can take single-subject courses or full study programmes. If you choose to study a single subject course, you are awarded credits on completion of these courses.     Vilka får delta?

    Du som har tagit ut examen från Tekniska högskolans grund- eller påbyggnadsutbildningar (inte doktorsexamen) är välkommen till examenshögtiden! Vi skickar en inbjudan till dem som tagit ut sin examen under eftersom det är de vi har adresser till. Har du examen från ett tidigare år är du också välkommen att delta men då måste du kontakta oss. Du är inte bunden till en viss högtid utan får komma när det passar dig.

    Examensenheten måste få in din ansökan om examen senast 31 augusti för att vi ska kunna garantera att du får en inbjudan och en plats på högtiden i november. För information om hur du ansöker om examen se denna sida.

    Anmälan krävs för deltagande på både ceremonin och middagen.

    Klädsel

    Kostym, valfri färg eller fin kvällsklänning, kjol eller byxdress, lång eller kort. Även nationaldräkt/folkdräkt är trevligt att se.

    Diplomering

    Diplomeringen leds av Director festivitatis. Diplomen överlämnas till varje diplomand av dekan/prodekan för Tekniska högskolan. Observera att ceremonin hålls på svenska.
